HARTFORD POLICE SEEK SUSPECTS IN CONVENIENCE STORE SHOOTING.

(Hartford) - The HPD Major Crimes Division today continued their investigation into the late Monday night shooting incident at the U-Stop Convenience Store on Barbour Street in Hartford.

Late Monday, approximately three minutes before midnight, HPD patrol units responded to a report of a shooting incident at 89 Barbour Street.  Upon arrival officers observed evidence of a shooting incident at the store.  Shortly thereafter, police received a report of victims with gunshot wounds arriving at St. Francis Hospital for treatment.  Both victims, who sustained non-life threatening injuries, reported entering the store when a white Chevy Lumina vehicle passed by and discharged multiple shots into the store striking both victims. 

HPD Major Crimes Detectives seized a video tape from the crime scene and are reviewing this evidence as part of the investigation.

Hartford Police are looking for a white Chevy Lumina vehicle with tinted windows.  Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have information about the vehicle or suspects is asked to contact the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division, (860) 527-6300.  Information received will be kept confidential.
