For Immediate Release:  November 9, 2005

MAN DIES AS A RESULT OF INJURIES SUSTAINED FROM ALTERCATION.


(Hartford) - Police confirmed today that Leo Bethea, of 131 Washington Street, Hartford, died of injuries he sustained as a result of an altercation which occurred on November 7th, 2005, at 1307 Main Street, Hartford.

Bethea, 38, was transported to Hartford Hospital at approximately 1400 hours on the 7th for treatment of injuries he sustained during the altercation.  His condition worsened over night, and he was subsequently pronounced dead at 1655 hours on November 8th, 2005.

Hartford Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed or have information about the incident to contact HPD Major Crimes Detectives Dan Mui and John Koch, the lead investigators in the case, at (860) 527-6300.
