NEWS RELEASE HARTFORD POLICE MAKE ARREST IN ALBANY AVENUE HOMICIDE; INVESTIGATION CONTINUES IN MARTIN STREET SHOOTING. (Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes have made an arrest in the June 21st stabbing death of Furney Burney of Hartford which occurred in the vicinity of 520 Albany Avenue. With the assistance of cooperative witnesses Hartford Police were able to identify the suspect as Vernice Frederick, DOB 5/3/49, of 75 Dart Street, Hartford. Frederick, charged with Murder by Hartford Police was booked this morning at Hartford Police Headquarters and remains in custody on a $2 million bond. View mug shot of Vernice Frederick. Hartford Police also announced that they are looking for a 1994 Ford GT Probe, two door vehicle, black with dark tinted windows, in connection with the June 21st homicide Danta Davis at 131 Martin Street, Hartford.
