HARTFORD POLICE TO CONDUCT DUI CHECKPOINTS IN THE AREAS OF FRANKLIN AVENUE AND BROAD STREET AND FARMINGTON AVENUE.

(Hartford) - On Thursday, May 26, 2005, beginning at 7:00 p.m. through 3:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, the HPD Traffic Division and South District Conditions Units will conduct a DUI/motor vehicle safety checkpoint in the area of 575 Franklin Avenue, Hartford. 

On Saturday, May 28, 2005, beginning at 7 p.m. through 3:00 a.m., Sunday, May 29th, the HPD Traffic Division and North District Conditions Units will be conduct a DUI/motor vehicle safety checkpoint in the area of Broad Street and Farmington Avenue. 

These checkpoints are part of the "2005 Expanded DUI Enforcement Program," sponsored by the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation.
