HARTFORD POLICE TO CONDUCT DUI CHECKPOINTS

(Hartford) - On Sunday, December 18, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. the Hartford Police Department will conduct a DUI/Motor Vehicle Safety Checkpoints at Bloomfield and Albany Avenues and at the 600-700 block of Farmington Avenue in Hartford.  The checkpoints are part of the HPD's holiday DUI/Motor Vehicle Safety enforcement program funded under a State of Connecticut Department of Transportation grant.

The Hartford Police Department asks holiday travelers to not drink and drive, to buckle-up and to drive safely.
