NEWS RELEASE FUGITIVE TRAVIS FARVER IN POLICE CUSTODY. (Hartford) - Today, at approximately 8:15 a.m., the New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task Force apprehended Travis Farver, DOB 1/19/77 at 550 East 147th Street in the Bronx, New York. See related December 11, 2004 press release and photo of Farver. The Hartford Police had been searching for Farver since a December 3, 2004 incident where he open fired on HPD Detectives in the area of 130 Stonington Street, Hartford. Farver was also wanted on a second arrest warrant stemming from a motor vehicle assault on police at Morgan and Market Streets on the same date. The Hartford Fugitive Task Force developed an investigative lead which was forwarded to the New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task Force and ultimately led to Farver's arrest in the Bronx. Farver's last known address was 29 Plain Drive, East Hartford, Connecticut. He is charged with three counts of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder, three counts of Criminal Attempt Assault on a Police Officer, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, three counts of Reckless Endangerment in the First, and Evading Responsibility.
