HARTFORD POLICE MAKE EIGHTEEN ARRESTS IN  REVERSE DRUG STING.

(Hartford) - On October 5th, following an investigation into open air drug dealing in the area of 59 Green Street, the Hartford Police Department's Northeast Narcotics and Gun Team, supported by the HPD's Vice and Narcotics and Northeast Conditions Unit, conducted a reverse drug sting operation that resulted in the arrest of two drug dealers, fifteen drug buyers and the seizure of six motor vehicles.

The first phase of the "reverse drug sting" investigation entailed surveillance of the area and led Hartford Police to arrest two drug dealers: Steve Granger and Luther Nance (see details and charges below).  During the second phase of the investigation Hartford plain cloths detectives posed as drug dealers  targeting individuals attempting to purchase illegal drugs at the location.  Fifteen individuals were arrested for criminal attempt to possess narcotics and numerous other charges and six motor vehicles used in attempting to purchase drugs were seized by police.
