HARTFORD POLICE ARREST LAWYER ON SEXUAL ASSAULT AND RISK OF INJURY TO A MINOR CHARGES.

(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Juvenile Investigative Division have arrested Kweku Hanson, DOB 6/21/61, of 53 Hollywood Avenue, West Hartford, a Hartford lawyer, charging him with one count of sexual assault in the second degree and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.  Hanson was taken into custody at his 487 Main Street law office on Friday, September 23, 2005, after police had secured an arrest warrant following an investigation which began on September 1, 2005.

Hanson is schedule for arraignment today in Hartford Superior Court.  His bond is set at $250,000.

Hartford Police are asking anyone with information about Hanson that may assist in the ongoing investigation, or who may have had contact with him, to contact Detectives of the Juvenile Investigative Division at (860) 527-6300, extension 5294.
