NEWS RELEASE HARTFORD POLICE IDENTIFY SUSPECT IN MARCH 14 U-STOP CONVENIENCE STORE SHOOTING. (Hartford) - HPD Major Crimes Detectives have identified Jessie T. Howard, DOB 3/5/73, of 28 Martin Street, third floor, Hartford, as a suspect in the March 14 2005 U-Stop Convenience Store shooting on Barbour Street in Hartford. Howard is wanted by Hartford Police for his part in the March 14, 2005 gun battle which resulted in the injury of a young woman. Hartford Police Major Crimes detectives have secured an arrest warrant for Howard charging him with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm, and Carrying a Pistol without a Permit. The weapon in this shooting has not been recovered. Bond has been set at Two Hundred Thousand Dollars. View Wanted poster and mug shot of
