NEWS RELEASE Hartford Police identify homicide victim. (Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have identified Michael J. Morris of 45 Banbury Lane, Bloomfield, Connecticut as the city's twentieth homicide victim this year. Morris, age 26, was pronounced dead at 1:05 a.m. today after being transported to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the abdomen he had sustained at 15 Plainfield Street, Hartford, on October 25th. Hartford Police responded to a report of a party shot at 15 Plainfield Street at approximately 6 p.m. on October 25th. Upon arrival officers located the victim with one apparent gunshot wound to his abdomen. The Hartford Fire Department and AMR Ambulance personnel immediately responded and provided emergency treatment to the victim, who was subsequently transported to St. Francis Hospital where he expired.
