HARTFORD POLICE IDENTIFY SUSPECT IN DEREK BENFORD HOMICIDE.

(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have identified Alexis Rosa, DOB 8/8/78, as the suspect in the June 4th death of Derek Benford.

Rosa, AKA "Lex" is described as an Hispanic male, approximately 5'6", 185 lbs, black hair and brown eyes, has two tattoos, one of a devil on the right side of his neck, and another of the letters MOM on his left hand.  Rosa is known to frequent the area of Broad and Madison Streets and has been seen driving an older model green Dodge Intrepid.
