NEWS RELEASE HARTFORD POLICE CHIEF PATRICK J. HARNETT PROMOTES 8 NEW SERGEANTS AND 5 DETECTIVES. (Hartford) - At a 12 noon public ceremony held today in the Atrium of Hartford City Hall, Hartford Police Chief Patrick J. Harnett promoted eight (8) Hartford Police Officers to the rank of Sergeant and appointed five (5) new Hartford Police Detectives. Promoted to the rank of Hartford Police Sergeant were Edward Yergeau, Dana Peterson, Jason Thody, Sean Spell, Kevin Ahlquist, Eric Smith, Norman Godard, and David Dufault. Appointed to the position of Hartford Police Detective were Martin Miller, Mary Jo Russell, Pedro Rivera, Brandon O'Brien, and Michael Cacioli. "The positions of Sergeant and Detective are critical positions to the delivery of quality police services to our community.
