St. Patrick's Day Parade
 Saturday, March 19, 2005.

(Hartford) - The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in the City of Hartford has been rescheduled for this Saturday, March 19, 2005,  beginning at 11:00 a.m. Please view the parade route map and details of the parade route below.

The Hartford Police Department suggests, due to the fact that many downtown streets will be closed and reopened sporadically during the parade, that participants and spectators allow for extra travel to get to these events.

Hartford Deputy Chief Michael J. Fallon, HPD South Division Chief, said "The Hartford Police will do everything possible to facilitate the efficient movement of traffic in and around the city for this event.  We are aware of the impact of street closures and parking bans on downtown businesses and residents, and also of the needs of participants and spectators to navigate the city.  We will do our very best to accommodate everyone's needs."

  • St. Patrick's Day Parade:  View PDF map of route.  Streets to begin closure at 10:45 a.m. and reopen as Parade proceeds through route.

North on Main to Asylum Street
