HARTFORD POLICE IDENTIFY SUSPECT IN JUNE 9TH HOMICIDE.


(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have identified Pedro Torres, DOB 9/27/79, of 19 Florence Street, Hartford, as a suspect in the June 9th, 2005 murder of Leslie Wells, Jr. which occurred at Center and Seyms Street in Hartford.

Torres, described as an Hispanic male, approximately 5'10", 170 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair, is also known as "Empeyo", and has a history of violent crimes involving the use of firearms.  Hartford Police caution that Torres could be in possession of a pistol and should be considered armed and dangerous.
