NEWS RELEASE HARTFORD POLICE LAUNCH ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE. (Hartford) - The Hartford Police Department and Infinity Radio, HOT 93.7 have joined forces in sponsoring a holiday toy drive aimed at raising hundreds of new toys for distribution to Hartford children. The toy drive was launched on Monday, November 29, 2004 by Radio Host Nancy Barrows and DJ Buck, broadcasting their morning show on HOT 93.7 radio from the lobby of Hartford Police Headquarters. They were joined by Hartford Police Chief Patrick J. Harnett and numerous other Hartford Police officers and visitors bringing toys to police headquarters for donation to the toy drive. Hundreds of toys were received during the event. The month long toy drive also includes a "Jingle Jam" concert to be held at the Hartford Civic Center on Friday, December 10, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. Concert goers are being asked to bring an unwrapped new toy with them to the event. Tickets for the Jingle Jam 2004 concert are on sale at the Hartford Civic Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations, or log on to Ticketmaster.com. Hartford Police officers will be distributing the toys to children throughout the city during the week of December 13, 2004.
