HARTFORD POLICE SEARCH FOR CHALICE STOLEN FROM TRINITY COLLEGE CHAPEL.

(Hartford) - The Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division is conducting an investigation into a July 26, 2004 incident wherein a gold chalice, along with various other items, were stolen from the Trinity College Chapel. 

On July 26, 2004, Hartford Police were dispatched to 300 Summit Street on a report by campus security of a burglary at the Trinity Chapel the previous night.  Reported stolen were a computer monitor, a gold chalice, and a crucifix.  The chalice, a gift received upon Seminary graduation to the Reverend Michael Dolan from his family, is inscribed on the underside with the wording: "Arch Diocese of Hartford/Rev. Michael Dolan."  The chalice is approximately 8.6 inches tall. 

The Hartford Police Department Major Crimes Division is asking anyone with information which may assist in this investigation to contact HPD Detective Frank Bruskey at (860) 527-6300, extension 5218.
