HARTFORD POLICE CONTINUE INVESTIGATION IN TO ABANDONED FELINES IN GOODWIN PARK.

(Hartford) - The investigation by Hartford Police into the abandonment of fourteen (14) felines in Hartford's Goodwin Park continued today with the Animal Friends of Connecticut offering a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the individual(s) responsible for this act of animal cruelty.

On June 13th Hartford Police Animal Control Officer Thomas Fuller located the felines crammed into four carrying crates abandoned near the fourth hole in Hartford Goodwin Park's Golf course.  The cats, varying from kittens to a pregnant female and suffering from heat exposure and dehydration, were immediately transported to the Kennedy Veterinary Center in Windsor for treatment.  They remain in good condition.

Anyone with information about the incident, or wishing to inquire about adoption may contact Hartford Police Department Sergeant Garth Perri, Supervisor the HPD's Animal Control Unit, at 527-7300, extension 5505.
