HARTFORD POLICE IDENTIFY SUSPECT IN NUMEROUS JEWELRY STORE ARMED ROBBERIES.

(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have identified Jerry Kenyatta Carter, DOB 07/12/1970, as a suspect in numerous jewelry store armed robberies in the Hartford area, including Becker's Jewelry Store in Hartford on May 27, 2006. 

Hartford Police said Carter is also wanted by the Towns of Enfield, Manchester, New Haven, Orange, and Westport as a possible suspect in jewelry store armed robberies in those towns. 

Carter, who police consider to be armed and very dangerous as he has a history of being armed with a handgun, is known to frequent the Hungerford Street area of Hartford.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jerry Kenyatta Carter is asked to immediately contact Hartford Police Major Crimes Detective Andrew T. Jacobson at 860-527-7300, extension 5436.
