Traffic Alert:
Street Closures and Traffic Delays due to Hartford Marathon.
Due to running of 13th
annual United Technologies Greater Hartford Marathon – October 14, 2006--
roads used for the Marathon will be closed to vehicular traffic on
Saturday, October 14, 2006. Surrounding roads may have traffic delays.
People are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes. Affected roads
will be impacted between 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Road closures will be
staggered. Reopening time is estimated, as roads will reopen after
runners have exited each portion of the course.
Residents and
businesses along the route in Hartford, East Hartford and South Windsor
were mailed traffic alert postcards in early September.

roads is below. A map of the marathon, half marathon and 5K race course
is available at
www.hartfordmarathon.com. Maps of Hartford routes can be viewed by
clicking on the links below.
