Hartford Police began their investigation on the evening of October 22nd when they responded to a report of a party shot at 391 Garden Street and located Harrison lying on the sidewalk suffering from several gun shot wounds to his back and chest. Harrison was transported to St. Francis Hospital via ambulance where he was listed in critical condition, however, he died of his injuries the next day. Jones is charged by Hartford Police with Harrison's murder and carrying a pistol without a permit and criminal possession of a pistol. Jones remains in police custody on a $2 million pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court. In commenting on the investigation, Hartford Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts., stated "I have nothing but praise for Major Crimes Division Detectives Jerry Bilbo and Tishay Johnson, lead investigators in this homicide. As a result of their hard work and perseverance, and with the invaluable assistance of the community, this murder suspect is in custody, he will be brought to justice, and our streets will be safer."
