CRIME TIP HOTLINE: 860-527-TIPS NEWS RELEASE HARTFORD POLICE SEEK SUSPECT IN PARKING LOT SHOOTING. (Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division are investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. this morning at a commercial parking lot operated by Laz Parking on North Chapel Street in Hartford. The victim, Ashok Patel, 67 year old, of Hartford, was in the parking lot attendant booth when was approached by the armed suspect, described at a Black Male wearing black clothing and a black ski mask, who demanded money from Patel. The suspect then shot Patel in the hip and ankle, and fled west on North Chapel Street. Patel was transported to St. Francis Hospital by ambulance where he remains in stable condition with non life threatening injuries.
