HARTFORD POLICE RELEASE NAME
OF HOMICIDE VICTIM

(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have confirmed Jepther White, age 24, of Gilbert Avenue in Bloomfield, as the fatal victim of a shooting that occurred yesterday in the vicinity of 356 Wethersfield Avenue.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28th, Hartford police responded to a report of a party shot.  On arrival officers located Jepther White suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.  CPR was immediately begun followed by EMS arrival and White's transport to Hartford Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
