HARTFORD POLICE RELEASE NAME OF HOMICIDE VICTIM;
CONFIRM IDENTITY BODY FOUND IN TRUNK ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13TH, 2007

(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have identified Trevon Mauldin, 22, of 1479 Main Street, as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred at 151 Martin Street on Sunday, December 16, 2007.

At approximately 11:00 a .m., police were dispatched to 151 Martin Street on the report of a party shot.  On arrival officers located a Trevon Mauldin suffering fro a single gunshot would.  Ems personnel arrived and transported the victim to St. Francis Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and pronounced deceased.  See Mugshot of Trevon Mauldin below.

A second victim, Mark Brown, 43, of Garden Street, Hartford, arrived by private vehicle at St. Francis Hospital shortly after.  Brown was suffering from a single non-life threatening gunshot wound to the head.

In an unrelated incident, Hartford Police have confirmed the identify of the individual found deceased in the trunk of a car in the vicinity of 17-19 Ashley Street on Thursday, December 14, 2007, as 25 year old Domain Richards, of 26 High Court, East Hartford.  Richards had been reported missing by East Hartford Police on November 13, 2007.  The Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division is continuing their investigation of this homicide jointly with East Hartford Police and ask anyone with information to assist in the investigation to contact
