CRIME SOLVERS TIPLINE: 860-527-TIPS NEWS RELEASE TWO VANDALISM SUSPECTS TO APPEAR IN HARTFORD SUPERIOR COURT TODAY
At approximately 1:30 a.m. on the 20th, Hartford Police were contacted by security personnel of One Linden Place that two individuals had been observed spray painting nearby buildings on Elm Street, Hartford. The Security Guard of The Linden provided Hartford Police with a detailed description of the two suspects and their vehicle, a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, CT registration 495-SKC, which had been parked on Linden Place. With the information provided by the Linden Security Guard, an area canvass for the suspects was conducted by responding patrol units and the suspects were observed walking southbound on Pulaski Circle. On approach, the suspects began to run south prompted a foot chase by Hartford Police. After brief struggles, the suspects were apprehended without further incident. Arrested and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, interfering with police and possession of a controlled substance was Matthew Halamicek, 21, of 78 Lake Grada Drive, Unionville. Arrested and charged with criminal mischief third degree and interfering with police was Gordon Gregory, 22, of 44 Fernwood Drive, Simsbury. Both were released on written promise to appear in Hartford Superior Court on Friday, December 21, 2007.
