HARTFORD POLICE TRAFFIC ALERT
For Immediate Release:  Friday, November 16, 2007, 11:00 a.m.

FARMINGTON AVENUE, BETWEEN FOREST AND
AND WOODLAND STREETS, CONTINUES TO BE CLOSED FOR REPAIRS OF WATER MAIN BREAK AND ROAD DAMAGE.


(Hartford) - The closure of Farmington Avenue, in both directions, between Forest and Woodland Streets, to through traffic until further notice, announced Hartford Police.  Metropolitan District Commission, utility, and public works crews continue to work to repair the water main and the major street damage due to the water main break.  

Commuters and local traffic should anticipate closure of Farmington Avenue, between Forest and Woodland Streets, through today's rush hour traffic and plan to avoid the area.  The roadway will remain closed until such time as repairs are completed.
