HARTFORD POLICE TRAFFIC ADVISORY

(Hartford) - The Hartford Police Department's Traffic Division wishes to impress upon the public the possibility of traffic delays in connection with this weekend's Veteran's Day Parade Celebration and UCONN Exhibition Basketball Game at the Hartford Civic Center.  Both events are scheduled for Sunday, November 4, 2007, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Both parade organizers and HPD traffic officials have coordinated their plans in an effort to facilitate the free flow of traffic around these two events, however, Hartford Police encourage all those planning on attending these events to allow for extra travel time.

Hartford police announce that there will be no street parking on Asylum Street, between High Street and Main Street, and access to parking garages in the parade area will be allowed up to 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, November 4th.  The Veteran's Day Parade will be well past the Civic Center area by games end.
