HARTFORD POLICE MAKE ARREST IN CHILD NEGLECT INCIDENT

(Hartford) - Clive Thomas, DOB 11/12/1976, of 242 Cornwall Street, Hartford, was arrested by Hartford Police on Thursday, September 20, 2007, and charged with risk of injury to a minor.

Hartford police responded to a report of a two year old left unattended on top of a vehicle in the area of 128 Collins Street.  Investigation by police determined that the father of the child, Thomas, was apparently unable to exchange the toddler with the mother and decided to leave the child on top of the mother's vehicle and then proceeded to leave the area.  Thomas, of 242 Cornwall Street, was located by Hartford police in the vicinity and taken into custody where he remains on $5,000 bond pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court.
