CRIME SOLVERS TIPLINE: 860-527-TIPS NEWS RELEASE HARTFORD POLICE RELEASE PHOTOS OF BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT
At approximately 10:30 a.m., police were dispatched to the bank on a report of an active armed robbery. Bank personnel stated that the suspect entered the bank, produced a handgun, jumped over the counter, and demanded money from the tellers. Bank personnel stated that the suspect took approximately $5,800 from the front counter. As the suspect exited the rear door of the bank the red dye pack on the currency exploded. The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound on foot. A canvass was conducted by Hartford police with negative results. Anyone with information on the whereabouts or can identify the suspect is asked to contact HPD Major Crimes Detective Christopher Sullivan at 860-757-4261. The management of the Hartford Federal Credit Union is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the robbery suspect in the photos below, described as an Hispanic male, light complexion, 6 feet, 180 lbs, scruffy facial hair, wearing a blue hoodie with white markings, blue faded Levi jeans, black Nike Uptown sneakers, blue skull cap, carrying a black revolver with a brown handle and a black bag.
