IN SEXUAL ASSAULT
Officers responded to a call from the Burger King restaurant at approximately 10 p.m. on a report of an intoxicated eleven year old female in the parking lot. The female reported to police that she was a sexual assault victim and that the incident occurred at the Motel 6. Detectives of the HPD's Juvenile Investigative Division and the Crime Scene Division launched an immediate investigation. As a result of that investigation detectives have arrested two adult Hispanic males one Hispanic juvenile male in connection with the incident. The 17 year old juvenile was charged with sexual assault in the first degree, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, and one count of procuring liquor by fraud. He remains in custody on $500,000. Orlando Mendez, DOB 11/20/1988, of 203 Van Block Avenue, Hartford, was charged with sexual assault in the first degree, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, disorderly conduct, and one count of procuring liquor by fraud. Mendez remains in custody on $500,000 pending arraignment in Hartford Superior Court. Below is a booking photo of Mendez. Orlando Nicholas Ocasio, DOB 10/28/1989, of 65 Ellsworth Street, Hartford, was charged with two counts of risk of injury and one count of procuring liquor by fraud.
