HARTFORD POLICE CONFIRM IDENTITY
OF HOMICIDE VICTIM


(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have identified a March 21, 2008, homicide victim as Tracenton Cook, 16, of 22 Church Street, Manchester, Connecticut.

At approximately 11 p.m., on Friday, March 21, 2008, Hartford Police responded to Central Row and Prospect Street on a report of a party shot.  On arrival officers located the sixteen year old victim suffering from a gunshot wound.  Cook was immediately transported to Hartford Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 11:37 p.m. 

Hartford Police have identified two suspects, a Black Male, early to mid 20's, medium to light complexion, large eyes wearing a red fitted baseball cap, and an Hispanic Female, 18 to 20 year old, with blonde highlights.  The suspect vehicle is described as a white four door Dodge or Chrysler product.
