CITY YOUTH STARS OF ANTI-LITTER VIDEO

(Hartford) - Student participants in the Hartford Police Department's Truancy Reduction Program are the stars of a video produced by the City of Hartford and the Hartford Police Department in concert with Young Studios.  The video, with an anti-litter message, was released at a press conference held by Hartford Mayor Eddie A. Perez on Monday, April 21, 2008, outside Milner Elementary School on Magnolia Street, Hartford.

Launching an anti-litter campaign in the City of Hartford, the video, which was distributed to television media at the press event, will be broadcast on Hartford Public Access Channels 5, 19, and 21, and has been posted on the City of Hartford's website, YouTube, Digg and Facebook (see the links below).

Also starring in the video is Fredro Starr, a former member of the hip-hop group Onyx.  Although Fredro has officially retired from rap, he has launched an acting career with movie credits such as Sunset Park, Light it Up, and Save the Last Dance.  Fredro was also a regular on the hit sitcom Moesha.

See the related press release of Hartford Mayor Eddie A. Perez, Monday, April 21, 2008 about the Hartford anti-litter campaign and the student involvement in this project.
