CRIME SOLVERS TIPLINE: 860-527-TIPS NEWS RELEASE ANGEL CARRION WANTED BY HARTFORD POLICE IN CONNECTION WITH APRIL 23rd TRIPLE SHOOTING
Carrion, described as an Hispanic male, 5'8", 207 lbs, medium build with black hair and brown eye, is charged by Hartford Police with two counts of criminal attempt to commit murder, two counts of assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment in the first degree, criminal use of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm and carrying weapons in a motor vehicle. A bond of one million dollars has been set by a Hartford Superior Court presiding judge. On April 23rd, 2008, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Hartford Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of Franklin Avenue and Bond Street. On arrival the first victim was located in a park on Bond Street suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot. A second victim, suffering from a gunshot would to the abdomen, arrived by private vehicle at Hartford Hospital, and a third victim was later treated at St. Francis Hospital for a superficial wound to his left leg. The third victim reported to police he was at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Bond Street at the time of the shooting. As the firearm used in this incident has not been recovered police consider Carrion to be armed and dangerous.
