HARTFORD POLICE IDENTIFY FATAL SHOOTING VICTIM
AS ANTHONY ALEXANDER, 21, OF HARTFORD

(Hartford) - Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have confirmed the identity of the victim of a July 4, 2008 fatal shooting as Anthony Alexander, 21, of Hartford.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4th, 2008, police responded to a report of shots fired and a party shot in the vicinity of 159 Edgewood Street.  On arrival officers located Anthony Alexander in front of 159 Edgewood Street suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was immediately transported to Saint Francis Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
