Hartford Police Capture Man Responsible for Numerous Larcenies

(Hartford) -
Detectives of the State Wide Auto Theft Task Force have captured a man believed responsible for numerous larcenies and car breaks in the city.  Korday (AKA Corday) Foster, DOB 7/4/1985, of 272 South Street Hartford, was charged by Hartford Police on August 14, 2008, with carrying weapons in a vehicle, possession of burglary tools, stealing a firearm, larceny in the first degree, tampering with a motor vehicle, criminal trover second degree, and operating a motor vehicle under suspension.

At approximately 5:40 p.m., on August 13th, detectives of the Statewide Auto Theft Task Force were observed a stolen vehicle being operated by Foster.  Detectives followed the stolen vehicle to 45 Earl Street and conducted a motor vehicle stop during which a large number of pocket books, wallets, identification cards, cell phones, vehicle stereo equipment, and GPS systems were found.  Detectives were able to connect some of the  stolen property in the stolen vehicle to a number of car breaks across the city and consequently were able to obtain a consent to search his room at his mother's house at 272 South Street were they found a .38 snub nose revolver with ammunition in his luggage bag.

Foster remains in custody on $350,000 bond.  Hartford police anticipate as many as 35 more arrest warrants for Foster with additional larceny and robbery.
