Seize Six Guns
Coleman was taken into custody without incident where he remains on a bail commissioner's bond set at $5 million. He has been charged by Hartford police with three counts of criminal possession of a firearm, 1 count of possession of an assault rifle, possession of narcotics, PWITS, second degree burglary, four counts of risk of injury, and numerous motor vehicle violations. Two others were also arrested as result of the investigation: Chambrielle Dancy, DOB 7/18/1987, of 143 Mansfield Street, charged with two counts of possession of a machine gun, altering identification number on a pistol, 4 counts of risk of injury, 6 counts of storage of firearms accessible to minors, and assault on a public safety/emergency medical person; and Serena Dancy, DOB 10/31/1969, of 143 Mansfield Street, Hartford, charged with 1 count of possession of a machine gun, 3 counts of storage of a firearms/minors, and 3 counts of risk of injury. Both women remain in custody with Serena's bond set at $750,000 and Chambrielle's at $2.1 million. Police continue to search for a fourth suspect, Kiari Taylor, DOB 6/19/1990, of 143 Mansfield Street, in connection with this ongoing illegal firearms investigation. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kiari Taylor, described as 18 years of age, 6', 155 lbs, brown eyes with black Dred Locks, is asked to contact Hartford Police Department Major Crimes Division Supervisor Sergeant Rob Davis at 860-757-4256, or call Crime Stoppers at (860) 722-TIPS (8477). In commenting on this investigation and the work of the Hartford Gun Team (which includes representatives of the HPD, Connecticut State Police, Department of Corrections, and the Hartford State's Attorney's Office) in riding guns from Hartford streets, Chief Daryl K. Roberts said, "We will continue to aggressively pursue individuals who attempt to intimidate our community through the use of firearms and violence. These firearms and those in possession of them are no longer a threat to our citizens. The guns are off our streets and those in possession of them will remain in custody on high bonds. I commend all the members of the Gun Team for their excellent work in this investigation and I strongly urge Kiari Taylor surrender to police."
