Hartford Police Make Third Arrest in August 9th Shootings

(Hartford) -  Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have arrested a third individual in connection with the August 9th shooting incident that led to one homicide and six other injured victims.

On September 10, 2008, Hartford police charged Chad Adgers, DOB 12/3/1990, of 50 Burton Street, Hartford, with six counts of Accessory to Assault in the First Degree, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm, Carrying a Pistol without a Permit and Risk of Injury to a Minor.  He remains in custody on a $500,000 bond.

On September 1st Hartford police arrested Sylvester Burrell of Bloomfield and on August 17th Michael Ledbetter of Hartford in connection with the shootings.  See related press releases below.

In commenting on the on-going investigation, Hartford Police Chief Daryl K. Roberts said "These arrests show the public and victim's families that they can be sure that the men and women of the department will not rest until all individuals responsible for these shootings are brought to justice."  He also said, "I am very proud of how resolute the men and women of the department have been in their quest to rid our streets of these dangerous individuals."
