Hartford Police Release Name of Homicide Victim

(Hartford) -  Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have confirmed the identity of a September 26th, 2008 homicide victim as Devon Neal, 18, of Grant Street, Hartford.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., on September 26th, 2008, police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Stone and Arlington Streets, Hartford.  On arrival officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds who were immediately transported to Hartford Hospital for treatment.  Devon Neal was pronounced deceased by hospital officials at 12:16 a.m. on September 27, 2008.  A second victim, not identified by police, was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
