Hartford Police Obtain Arrest Warrant for Vincent Jones;
Wanted by Hartford Police in Connection With Two Bank Robberies


(Hartford) -
 Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have obtained an arrest warrant for Vincent Jones, DOB 3/28/1968, wanted by Hartford Police in connection with two recent bank robberies.

On October 17th, 2008, at approximately 9:00 a.m., police believe Jones entered the Peoples Bank at 755 Main Street, Hartford, handed the teller a note demanding money and fled with approximately $4,500 in cash.

On October 25th, 2008, police believe Jones entered the Citizens Bank at 190 Trumbull Street at approximately 11:00 a.m., demanded money from the teller, then fled the area on foot. 

Jones, described as a Black male, 5'11", 200 lbs, was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and light colored pants.  Police believe Jones has shaved his head and is clean shaven as depicted in the second photo below. 

Jones is an escapee of the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections and is wanted by that agency.  He is known to frequent the vicinity of 97 Wyllys Street in Hartford.  It is unknown if Jones carries any weapons.
