Hartford Police Release Identity of Homicide Victim

(Hartford) -  Detectives of the Hartford Police Department's Major Crimes Division have released the identity of a December 24th, 2008 homicide victim as Anthony Joiner, DOB 8/14/1965, of 202 Nelson Street, Hartford.

At approximately 12:10 a.m. on December 24th patrol units responded to the area of Garden and Capen Street on a report of a party wounded.  On arrival officers located Anthony Joiner lying in front of 592 Garden Street suffering from multiple gun shots wounds.  Joiner was transported via ambulance to Saint Francis Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1:24 a.m.
