Hartford Police Traffic Advisory in connection with the West Indian Week Celebration
Hartford - In preparation for this week's West Indian Week Celebration and Parade, the Hartford Police Department is announcing the following parking bans on neighborhood streets. Neighborhood Street Parking Ban Map
Tuesday, August 4th and Friday, August 7, 2009
from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
On Tuesday
August 4th and Friday, August 7th, from 8 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.,
Hartford Police will permit vehicular access only for motor
vehicles, residents, and individuals possessing a residential parking
pass (all other parking is banned) on the following neighborhood streets
(see
map):

On Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, August 3rd, 5th, and 6th
the Hartford Police Department will enforce the posted parking regulations
established on the above listed city streets.
On the above dates
and times, police officers will be posted at all the listed intersections
limiting access to ensure that streets remain passable for residents and
emergency vehicles. Officers will direct motorists to alternate
parking locations.
Hartford Police
encourage attendees to utilize alternative parking
locations such as garages and surface parking lots. Click here to view
