Hartford Police to Conduct Two DUI Checkpoints

(Hartford) - The Hartford Police Department's Traffic Division will conduct two DUI Enforcement checkpoints this week.  The first on Thursday, May 7, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., in the 400 block area of Asylum Avenue, and the second on Friday, May 8, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. in the vicinity of 100 Brainard Road.

This checkpoint is part of the Hartford Police Department's ongoing expanded DUI enforcement program supervised by the HPD's Traffic Division and funded through a grant from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation.   2007 DOT Annual Report with DUI Enforcement statistics.
