Arrest After Shots Fired

On September 14, 2015, at 10:49 p.m. , Hartford Police Department Patrol Officers responded to the area of 129 Barbour Street on a multiple shots fired incident, reported from an activated "Shot Spotter." Upon arrival, officers conducted a canvas of the area where seven (7) spent 9mm shell casings were recovered in the roadway. At the time no suspects, witnesses or victims had been identified or located on scene. Additional checks of nearby area hospitals failed to locate any victims.

A second "Shot Spotter" activation came in approximately one minute after the first activation in the area of 51 Barbour Street. Nothing was located at that location. It was unknown if the two separate "Shot Spotter" activations were from the same incident. The Hartford Shooting Task Force was notified of both incidents and responded to the scene. An immediate follow-up investigation was assigned to Shooting Task Force Detectives who quickly developed and identified a suspect of Jamie Wilson, 22, of Hartford, CT. Later that same evening, Wilson was apprehended on Judson Street near Barbour Street and transported to the Hartford Police Booking facility to be processed for several firearm charges.
