Traffic Advisory for DMB Concert Friday, June 12

The Dave Matthews Band Concert is scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Xfinity Theater (formerly The Meadows). There is an anticipated attendance of between 20,000 and 23,000 many of whom will begin to arrive at approximately 4:00 pm. Commuters arriving and departing the capitol city between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm should expect to experience significant traffic congestion and should plan accordingly.

DUI Checkpoint June 11, 2015

(Hartford, CT.) – The Hartford Police Department Traffic Division will conduct a DUI Enforcement Checkpoint on Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., in the area of 809 Asylum Avenue.

This checkpoint is part of the Hartford Police Department's ongoing expanded DUI enforcement program supervised by the HPD's Traffic Division and funded through a grant from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation DUI Enforcement Program.

Firearm Arrest June 7, 2015

On June 7, 2015 at about 11:20 p.m. Patrol Units were dispatched to the area of Center Street at Seyms Street for a report of shots fired. Members of the Shooting Task Force responded along with Patrol. Investigation revealed that the shots came from the vicinity of East Street. Four .22 caliber shell casings were located in the roadway near the intersection of Seyms Street at East Street.
In order to investigate further, Patrol and Shooting Task Force members approached a group at 56 East Street. As they walked up the driveway of that location, accused Parker turned and began to quickly walk away while displaying characteristics of an armed person. Officers ordered accused Parker to stop at which point he walked behind a nearby vehicle. Accused Parker was detained and the area was canvassed. The listed firearm was located behind the vehicle. Accused Parker admitted that the firearm was his.
Accused Parker was arrested, debriefed and transported to 253 High Street for booking and processing.
The investigation is ongoing.

Accused- Donniele, J. Parker, 33 years of age, of Hartford, Connecticut

Charges- Carrying a Pistol without a Permit, Criminal Possession of a Firearm

Seized / Evidence- Walther Model PP 7.65 millimeter handgun
