The Hartford Police Department Major Crimes Division Domestic Violence Detectives are actively searching for Rashad Wilson age 35 of Hartford, who is wanted for a domestic assault that occurred on 09/24/14 in Hartford, CT. Wilson has an active felony warrant for Criminal Attempt Murder, Assault 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Pistol, Reckless Endangerment, Risk of Injury, and Larceny 3rd. This warrant carries a judge set $1,000,000 bond. He is believed to be hiding out with family. Note that Wilson wears glasses and a beard or goatee. On September 19, 2014 Hartford Police Department Detectives from the Special Investigations Division (S.I.D.) received information that Jimmy Benitez, 34 of Hartford, was in the area of 217 Franklin Avenue. Benitez had two active arrest warrants at the time. One for a Failure to appear on a previous firearms charge and the 2nd warrant was for several current Felony Sexual Assault Charges. Detectives conducted surveillance and Benitez was observed returning to a parked vehicle in front of 217 Franklin Ave. While the vehicle was still parked, S.I.D. Detectives and assisting officers approached the vehicle. Detectives located Benitez hiding in the third row seat of the parked vehicle. He was taken into custody without incident.
Benitez is being held on a $500,000.00 cash only bond.

On Tuesday August 12, 2014 at approximately 11:29pm, Hartford Public Safety dispatch received three 911 calls reporting a person shot in the area of 363 Sigourney Street. Approximately 4 to 6 gunshots were reported. Hartford Police Department Patrol Officers responded to the location and located the victim, Deon Palmer DOB 02/29/1996, lying face down suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his right thigh and chest. EMS personnel transported Palmer to Saint Francis hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Palmer subsequently succumb to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 02:36am.
HPD Major Crimes Division Detectives working homicide assumed the investigation. On September 17, 2014, Detectives applied for and obtained an arrest warrant for Brandon Henry, 08/26/83 of Hartford. The listed charges on the warrant are as follows:
1. Felony Murder
2. Reckless Endangerment 1st
3. Criminal Possession of a Firearm
With a bond of $2.5 Million
Henry is currently incarcerated for a separate Hartford incident. He is expected to be served the warrant on Friday, 9/26/14 at GA14 in Hartford.
