On June 29th, 2014, at approximately 11:57am, Officers from the Hartford Police Department Patrol Division responded to 85 Franklin Avenue on a report of a disturbance involving a firearm. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the complainant had already left the area and drove to Hartford Police Headquarters. Officer Hunyadi responded to Police Headquarters and assumed the investigation. The complainant/victim stated that while at 85 Franklin Avenue, he became involved in a dispute with two males only known to him by street names. The dispute occurred while the complainant/victim was seated in his vehicle. During the dispute, one of the males produced a firearm and ordered the victim out of his car. The victim would not exit the car as there was a small child in a car seat with him in the vehicle. At this point, several witnesses called 911 at which time the suspect fled on foot. Being afraid, the victim began to drive towards Hartford Police Headquarters in his vehicle occupied by four people, including the child.
As the victim drove towards HPD, they noticed a silver Honda Accord driving towards them on Maple Avenue near Pawtucket Street. As the vehicles got closer, the victim noticed the Honda was occupied by the two Individuals he had just had the argument with. The operator of the Honda Accord, Accused Jackson, produced a firearm and fired shots into the victims vehicle, striking the vehicle three times, one bullet narrowly missing the small child in the car seat. The victim drove to Hartford Police Headquarters and reported the incident. During a witness canvass, Officer Heimerdinger located several witnesses and developed investigatory leads. Officers Hunyadi and Heimerdinger identified two possible suspects from the street names provided. Officer Romanchuck located a .40 caliber shell casing in the intersection of Maple Avenue at Shultas Place. Officer Hunyadi continued the investigation, and on Monday June 30th, 2014, presented two arrest warrants to a Judge at Hartford Superior Court, GA14. Both warrants were granted. On July 2nd, 2014, Jackson was apprehended without incident. Accused Jackson stated he already has retained an attorney and did not want to speak to the police investigators. Jackson, a convicted felon, on Parole at the time of incident and capture, has been arrested 6 times in Hartford. Molina has not been captured. If you have any information on his whereabouts or this incident please contact STF Sergeant Sean Spell at (860) 757-4112.
