On 12/4/15 at 10:46pm Hartford Police Department Patrol Officers responded to the area of No. Chapel and Ann Uccello Street in response to a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.The pedestrian was transported to Saint Francis Hospital by ambulance. The victim is suffering from critical and life threatening injuries. The HPD Crime Scene Division responded and assumed control of the investigation. The operator of the MV is cooperating with Detectives.

On Friday, December 4, 2015, Hartford Police Department patrol officers responded to 245 Preston Street on a report of stored human skeletal remains. Responding officers made contact with the tenant and were allowed inside of the apartment. The tenant was cooperative and forthcoming and showed the officers where the skeletal remains were located. Detectives from the HPD Major Crimes Division were immediately notified. MCD assumed the investigation and remained in contact with the CT State's Attorney's Office. A search and seizure warrant was drafted and subsequently authorized by a judge of the Superior Court. The HPD Crime Scene Division responded and assisted with search, processing and recovery of the skeletal remains of five bodies. Through investigation HPD detectives learned that five graves had been robbed from a cemetery in Worcester Ma. MCD along with the Office of the Chief State's Attorney will continue to investigate with Massachusetts Law Enforcement. The tenant was taken into custody and charged as a fugitive from justice from the State of Massachussetts.

The skeletal remains were seized by HPD Crimes Scene Detectives. Investigation ongoing.
