Firearm Discharge by Hartford Police Department Personnel Early This Morning

(July 11, 2012) --- City of Hartford and Hartford Police Department officials have confirmed that early this morning four uniformed Hartford Police Department officers stopped a vehicle at or around 60 Wadsworth Street and, following an altercation, one of the officers discharged his firearm into the vehicle. One fatality is confirmed and a second person inside the vehicle was injured by gunfire. The investigation has been properly turned over to the Connecticut State Police, who are on-location.
