(October 10, 2013) In preparation for the ING Hartford Marathon this Saturday, October 12th, Hartford Police Department officials are reminding residents of extensive street closings along the event route. The marathon begins at 6am, and is expected to draw some 40,000 spectators into the City. To accommodate this, towing operations will begin at 5am, and residents in affected areas are encouraged to move their cars on Friday evening to avoid violating the parking restrictions.
For a full list of affected streets and neighborhoods see http://www.hartford.gov/meca/events/1045-hartford-ing-marathon-parking-restrictions, or visit http://www.hartfordmarathon.com. Streets will re-open as normal at 2pm on Saturday.
