(May 14, 2014) Tomorrow, Hartford Mayor Pedro E. Segarra invites all City of Hartford Youth, ages 14 to 19 and currently enrolled in school, along with their families, to City Hall this Thursday from 2:30pm to 7:30pm for Youth Employability Day. The event, sponsored by the City of Hartford and Capital Workforce Partners, will consist of job skills workshops and guidance in completing forms for proof of school enrollment, obtaining a birth certificate, writing a resume, and other important job search skills. While attendance does not guarantee summer employment, all student attendees will receive a USB flash drive wrist band.
At 1:30pm, Mayor Segarra will give remarks at the Annual Magnet Schools of America Conference at the Connecticut Convention Center.
