SATURDAY: CITY OF HARTFORD TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION INITIATIVE HOSTS TEEN NIGHT AT LAUNCH TRAMPOLINE PARK

(December 3, 2015) The Department of Health and Human Services’ Hartford Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative is hosting “Jump & Learn Teen Night,” an event Saturday at Launch Trampoline Park for teens ages 13 to 19. The event features games, giveaways, music by DJ Meechie from Hot 93.7, food and information about preventing teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV. The event is free to the first 155 teens that register and get their tickets on www.eventbrite.com. Teens under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian fill out a release at: https://launchhartford.pfestore.com/waiver.

The Hartford Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative (HTPPI) is part of a five-year $5 million federal grant awarded to the City of Hartford Health and Human Services Department in 2015 by the Office of Adolescent Health (OAH). Health and Human Services has partnered with a number of agencies to complete this work, including Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE), and Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF). Additionally, the initiative partners with Hartford Public Schools, Hartford Job Corps, and numerous other community based agencies, clinics and individuals.
