HARTFORD ENDS PARKING BAN AT NOON, WILL NOT TOW LOTS UNTIL 8 PM

HARTFORD ENDS PARKING BAN AT NOON, WILL NOT TOW LOTS UNTIL 8 PM

HARTFORD, CONN (December 17, 2019) – The City of Hartford’s parking ban, originally scheduled to last until 8 PM this evening, will end instead at noon today, December 17, 2019.  Hartford Public Schools lots will not be towed until 8 PM to give residents time to move their cars after work.  The City received significantly less snow than anticipated, and Public Works crews remain out working on areas with enough snow and slush to plow, as well as sidewalks around the city.

“We got much less snow than we expected, so we’re ending the ban early,” said Mayor Luke Bronin.  “If you parked in a HPS lot, please try to move your car as soon as possible so the lots can be cleared for school tomorrow.  While we got less snow, we encourage residents to look out for ice as they walk and drive over the next few days.”
